I also tried the new kernel that was uploaded in sid yesterday, 3.2.0-3 (3.2.21-2), and it crashes as well.

I don't know what differences there could be between this one and the one I built from git. Maybe I should try to rebuilt the exact version Debian is shipping? I'm not sure how to do that though.

Ok, good.  Please attach your .config for comparison with Debian's.

The only two kernel that crash are

linux-image-3.4-trunk-amd64 Version: 3.4.1-1~experimental.1
linux-image-3.2.0-2-amd64 Version: 3.2.20-1

3.2.21-2 doesn't crash?
