The real dependency on linux-base isn't as strong as that. If that's the only dependency not met, I think you should be OK to test this package with --force-depends. Make sure you have a copy of the old package (linux-image-2.6.32-5-orion5x_2.6.32-45_armel.deb) so you can easily downgrade again.
