Does this happen with the squeeze kernel (2.6.32.y), too? The squeeze kernel should install without trouble on a wheezy/sid system, like so: cp /etc/apt/sources.list sources.list.backup echo 'deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian stable-proposed-updates main' >>/etc/apt/sources.list apt-get update apt-get install linux-image-2.6.32-5-686-bigmem mv sources.list.backup /etc/apt/sources.list apt-get update If it's a regression, we can try to find what change caused it and fix that. If the bug is present in current (3.3.y or 3.4-rc) kernels, we can try reporting it upstream and get help from there. Please also attach full "dmesg" output from booting. Hope that helps, Jonathan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
