Package: linux-2.6 Version: 3.2.6-1 Severity: normal
Hello, I was trying to copy an iso image to a rather lame Emgeton brand USB stick (using factory FAT format on the stick). While doing so after some time most applications become unresponsive. I can log in on the console, local xterms work, xscreensaver and window manager works, xterms showing remote session and firefox are stalled (no screen updates), and so is gkrellm and kvm. I don't see anything releavant in the log. The load on the system as shown with atop is very light except for the flash drive which is 100% busy. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 3.2.0-1-amd64 (Debian 3.2.2-1) (b...@decadent.org.uk) (gcc version 4.6.2 (Debian 4.6.2-12) ) #1 SMP Wed Feb 1 08:56:58 UTC 2012 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-1-amd64 root=UUID=3b8f6a64-5899-462a-aec0-6ddefd878ecf ro fbcon=rotate:3 quiet ** Tainted: O (4096) * Out-of-tree module has been loaded. ** Kernel log: [4140240.021049] usb 3-2.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=3, SerialNumber=0 [4140240.021052] usb 3-2.1: Product: USB Productivity Option Keyboard( has the hub in #
