Hi folks, I am trying to setup an encrypted logical volume to hold the root filesystem and swap. "Hardware" a virtual PC created using kvm. Problem: There is no password dialog at boot time. After a minute waiting I am in busybox. Looking inside the initrd I see all the lvm and cryptsetup and mdadm tools, but it seems that conf/conf.d/cryptroot is missing. I can manually luksOpen the physical volume, activate the volume group and mount the root partition. initrd cannot :-(. If I try the same procedure on a laptop and squeeze, then the cryptroot config file is included. The laptop boots with password dialog as expected. Any helpful comment would be highly appreciated.
