This with "dep" update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-2-686-pae /: Is a directory FATAL: Module rootfs not found. FATAL: Module ide-gd_mod not found. FATAL: Module ide-cd not found. FATAL: Module dm-raid45 not found. This with "most" update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-2-686-pae FATAL: Module xhci not found. FATAL: Module zfcp not found. FATAL: Module dasd_diag_mod not found. FATAL: Module dasd_eckd_mod not found. FATAL: Module dasd_fba_mod not found. FATAL: Module dm-raid45 not found. The missing modules.builtin warning is gone. Note: The / is a directory relates to bug #659948 but without the suggestion of the "most" workaround. Note that after having cups start with libkmod errors also complaining about /etc/modprobe.d/arch.conf, I moved its its contents to /etc/modprobe.d I will try booting the "most" and "dep" initrds next time I start up.
