Well I can only see two bug fixes to Appletalk between those kernel versions. Can you try the attached patch? <http://kernel-handbook.alioth.debian.org/ch-common-tasks.html#s-common-official> explains how to rebuild official kernel packages, though you could also build a custom kernel (explained further down that page).
