WPA should already work if I understand correctly --- the bug only
affects WEP.

Thanks.  Could you provide the exact error message?

The repository is a directory named "linux" under whichever directory
you were in when you cloned the repo before.  It contains the Linux
source code.

Hopefully something like

        cd linux
        git apply --index <thepatch>
        dpkg -i ../<name of package>
        reboot

will work.
