Hello, First of all sorry for this very long quiet but I changed my isp some time ago and get in trouble with my new internet access.
Otherwise this bug report is still of actuality. I've upgraded my wheezy to kernel 3.1.0.3-amd64 and still have trouble with usb3.0 management by the kernel. It's a little bit more stable now as not all the system freeze but only report i/o errors during access to usb3.0 devices. The lost of usb3.0 devices occur in two ways : 1- If a left a device unused for a long time, kernel report warnings about stalled endpoint for usb3.0 device and is not always able to remap them correctly after they go in energy safe mode (my usb 3.0 dock cut the power of hdd when they're not used in order to avoid them to warm for no reason) 2- If I try to launch huge transfer of data (> 100 Go) on my usb 3.0 hdd, after some time the usb 3.0 bus crash and return i/o errors. My setup is not really common as I use a 3TB hdd over usb 3.0 and the filesystem is based on an xfs partition encrypted by truecrypt... Jonathan, I'll be glad to pursuing this trouble with your help. As it make a long time, do I still have to follow the advices you gave me in your previous message in order to help ?
