For my wireless card (*), the package provides the firmware iwlwifi-6000g2b-5.ucode version 17.168.5.1 build 33993: with that version I've never been able to connect to any AP, while replacing it with the latest version available from www.intellinuxwireless.org (17.168.5.2 build 35905)everything starts working fine. Please include the latest version in the package.
