Let's revive this.

Basic questions:

 - What kernel are you using now?  Please attach "dmesg" from it.
 - Please attach "acpidump" output.
 - Did any previous kernel work without trouble?  (I.e., is this a
   regression?)
 - If the latest squeeze kernel reproduces this, I would like to
   pursue a fix upstream.  Which requires testing a 3.x.y kernel.

   So please test a 3.x.y kernel from sid or experimental; the only
   packages from outside squeeze that should be needed in order to do
   so are the kernel image itself, linux-base, and initramfs-tools.
