I have exactly the same problem with my new computer with an ASUS
P8H67-M EVO mainboard and latest 3.1.0 kernel (amd64) - I attach a
reportbug created on the same computer.
I did follow all possible hints (hpet=disable, hwclock init.d script
disabled with HWCLOCKACCESS=no, set the alarm twice does fail, reboot
shortly after having set the alarm - a trick from NVRAM-wakeup, BIOS
APM/RTC option on or off) from http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/ACPI_Wakeup
and http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/ACPI_Wakeup, using the test
script from this last page for my own tests, without any success (the
APM/RTC settings directly in the BIOS do work!).
