Basic questions: - do I understand correctly that this is reproducible when using a normal workload for a short time in lenny and never occured in etch? - have you tried a kernel from squeeze or sid? If so, was the behavior any different? - where a BUG appears in the kernel logs, is the backtrace always the same? - how have you been coping all this time? :) Have you been using the lenny kernel with acpi disabled? If so, has that been working ok? - could you attach the full output of "dmesg" soon after booting (or lacking that, kernel output from /var/log/kern.log* from the start of a boot with the failing kernel)?
