reassign 627951 nvidia-kernel-dkms stop When I switched away from the proprietary Nvidia driver, the problem disappeared (two successful hibernate/resume cycles in a row). So it looks like the issue is probably on Nvidia's side. I haven't found anything else on the net about this yet, though.
