Output follow-up 6 The problem seems to be related to the HPSA driver. If the HPSA driver is compiled "in", then it does NOT work, it needs to be compiled as a module in-order to work.
The state of the CCISS driver does not seem to have any impact. I have now tried to compile CCISS in the kernel and HPSA as a module, and the root uuid boot stuff works!
