Please can you both test a new version of the rndis_host driver, which should work for both the 2Wire HomePortal device and the USB54Gs devices.
You can either: 1. Build the kernel from the 'sid' branch in svn, following the directions at <http://kernel-handbook.alioth.debian.org/ch-common-tasks.html#s-common-official>. 2. Use the binary module from <http://people.debian.org/~benh/rndis_host.ko>. This is built for the '686' kernel flavour which I believe you are both using. My signature on this is <http://people.debian.org/~benh/rndis_host.ko.asc>. To test this, run: rmmod rndis_wlan rmmod rndis_host insmod rndis_host.ko modprobe rndis_wlan Ben. -- Ben Hutchings Once a job is fouled up, anything done to improve it makes it worse.
