Let me rephrase a bit. Currently linux-image-* postint executes all scripts in /etc/kernel/postinst.d/ In like manner, it would be nice if linux-headers-* postinst executes scripts in /etc/kernel/header_postinst.d/ In the dkms case, if an user install a new kernel image, and after a while the respective kernel headers, all dkms module will be rebuilt.
