Hello Ben,
on 2.6.30-2-powerpc
# ls -l /sys/class/power_supply
ls: cannot access /sys/class/power_supply: No such file or directory
I also installed image-linux package for lenny, so on 2.6.26-2-powerpc
# ls -l /sys/class/power_supply
ls: cannot access /sys/class/power_supply: No such file or directory
and on 2.6.26-2-powerpc I also noticed during boot following lines:
[ 68.115115] udev: starting version 146
[ 68.115122] udev: missing sysfs features; please update the kernel or
disable the kernel's CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED option; udev may fail to
work correctly
I hope this helps.
Thank you,
Tomas

Hello Michael,
please see attached log.
Sorry I missed your request for sysfs file. But I do not have such file:
# ls -la /sys/class/power_supply/*/online
ls: cannot access /sys/class/power_supply/*/online: No such file or
directory
# cat /sys/class/power_supply/*/online
cat: /sys/class/power_supply/*/online: No such file or directory
# cat /sys/class/power_supply/*/online
cat: /sys/class/power_supply/*/online: No such file or directory
Looks like a kernel bug on powerpc to me. So reassigning.
Please send the output of:
ls -l /sys/class/power_supply
Also, if you still have an earlier kernel version installed then please
try rebooting into that and report the output of this command on that
version.
Ben.
