Package: kernel
Severity: normal

On ultra30 (sparc64), the kernel reports an unknown cmd each time the pppd
starts on a DSL line.
The kernel shows :
Aug 9 11:35:12 calypso kernel: ioctl32(pppd:19255): Unknown cmd fd(6)
cmd(00008936){00} arg(effff7d0)
on socket:[194961]
Aug 9 11:35:48 calypso kernel: __ipv6_regen_rndid(idev=fffff8007feea340):
cannot get EUI64 identifier; use random bytes.

I always get those 2 lines each time I start the ppp daemon.
There is no problem apart those warning and a named server that stop responding
when the ppp daemon
loose the connection. Maybe this is not related.

The same error is reproducable with the ifconfig command. Here is the log :
Aug 10 01:05:44 calypso kernel: ioctl32(ifconfig:20600): Unknown cmd fd(5)
cmd(00008936){00} arg(effffcb0) on socket:[204196]

Same command here.
