There is a patch for similar symptoms that went into 2.6.30.1 (included in 2.6.30-2), so sounds like you're seeing a different issue. You might want to try reporting this upstream. There's a section on this here. http://wiki.debian.org/DebianKernelReportingBugs That page also describes other ways you can help narrow down the issue, which would presumably make it easier for upstream to find/fix the problem. > alsa-base 1.0.20+dfsg-1 > alsa-utils 1.0.20-2 > linux-image-2.6.30-1-amd64 2.6.30-3 > linux-image-2.6.31-rc3-amd64 2.6.31~rc3-1~experimental.1~snapshot.13971 > Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) > AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02) > Subsystem: ASRock Incorporation Device 0850 > Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- > Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx- > Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- > <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- > Latency: 0 > Interrupt: pin B routed to IRQ 17 > Region 0: I/O ports at d800 [size=256] > Region 1: I/O ports at dc00 [size=64] > Region 2: Memory at f7fff800 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512] > Region 3: Memory at f7fff400 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] > Capabilities: <access denied> > Kernel driver in use: Intel ICH > > Please I need your help. > > > > > -- dann frazier -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
