Package: linux-image-2.6.30-1-686 Severity: important
Ever since I installed 2.6.30-1-686, I am plagued by crashes in Intel wireless ( Thinkpad X61 w/ intel 4965 agn ) . Suddenly the screen goes black, machine does not respond to keypresses, and there's nothing I can do besides Ctrl+SysRq+S and a hard reset. ( please note that this report is written from a different machine because the once which has the problem started crashing so often I cannot even submit this bug report with it ) Here's what appears in syslog: Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769515] ------------[ cut here ]------------ Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769556] WARNING: at /build/buildd-linux-2.6_2.6.30-1-i386-06t6n0/linux-2.6-2.6.30/debian/build/source_i386_none/drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi/iwl-tx.c:1127 iwl_tx_cmd_complete+0x49/0x1fa [iwlcore]() Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769564] Hardware name: 7673CW9 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769569] wrong command queue 0, sequence 0x0 readp=197 writep=197 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769574] Modules linked in: iwlagn iwlcore mac80211 cfg80211 binfmt_misc bridge stp bnep sco rfcomm l2cap bluetooth vboxnetflt vboxdrv uinput acpi_cpufreq cpufreq_powersave cpufreq_conservative cpufreq_userspace cpufreq_stats fuse loop firewire_sbp2 snd_hda_codec_analog snd_hda_intel snd_hda_codec snd_hwdep snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss snd_pcm arc4 snd_seq_midi ecb snd_rawmidi snd_seq_midi_event snd_seq snd_timer snd_seq_device pcmcia snd thinkpad_acpi soundcore yenta_socket snd_page_alloc rsrc_nonstatic rfkill i2c_i801 pcmcia_core serio_raw nvram evdev psmouse pcspkr battery processor button ac ext3 jbd mbcache sd_mod crc_t10dif ide_pci_generic uhci_hcd ata_generic ahci firewire_ohci firewire_core crc_itu_t libata scsi_mod sdhci_pci sdhci mmc_core led_class piix ide_core ehci_hcd e1000e usbcore thermal fan i915 i2c_algo_bit video thermal_sys output drm i2c_core intel_agp agpgart [last unloaded: cfg80211] Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769736] Pid: 0, comm: swapper Not tainted 2.6.30-1-686 #1 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769740] Call Trace: Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769753] [<c0126ff8>] ? warn_slowpath_common+0x5e/0x8a Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769762] [<c0127056>] ? warn_slowpath_fmt+0x26/0x2a Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769793] [<f8e05923>] ? iwl_tx_cmd_complete+0x49/0x1fa [iwlcore] Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769825] [<f8e04b1c>] ? iwl_rx_statistics+0xf7/0x114 [iwlcore] Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769846] [<f8bdc8e4>] ? iwl_rx_handle+0x107/0x1cd [iwlagn] Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769866] [<f8bdcb9c>] ? iwl_irq_tasklet+0x1f2/0x2b5 [iwlagn] Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769877] [<c012abcf>] ? tasklet_action+0x63/0xa8 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769885] [<c012b0d7>] ? __do_softirq+0x8e/0x135 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769894] [<c012b1ac>] ? do_softirq+0x2e/0x38 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769902] [<c012b28f>] ? irq_exit+0x26/0x53 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769910] [<c01049ea>] ? do_IRQ+0x65/0x76 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769918] [<c01036c9>] ? common_interrupt+0x29/0x30 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769943] [<f8c33175>] ? acpi_idle_enter_bm+0x246/0x281 [processor] Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769954] [<c027e3e1>] ? cpuidle_idle_call+0x5d/0x90 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769961] [<c0102399>] ? cpu_idle+0x46/0x61 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769971] [<c044676d>] ? start_kernel+0x2c2/0x2c5 Jul 5 23:28:47 utumno kernel: [ 737.769976] ---[ end trace 4ce351d6d789fec9 ]--- -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
