Given that this patch involved a fair amount of cherry-picking we cannot rely on upstream testing and should be very wary of regressions. There is no way I could be confident of it by June 8. I personally haven't tested it at all, except that it compiles! I identified upstream fixes for some driver bugs that look like good candidates for a stable update: #498271, #499527, #514268, #524300, #524311, #530884.
