Thanks to some earlier advice here, I'm running linux-image-2.6.29-trunk-amd64; I kept crashing with earlier kernels.
I tried to build the kvm modules but ran into errors (using module-assistant). It couldn't find some header files. These files seem to be in the -common package but not -amd64: ii linux-headers-2.6.29-trunk-amd64 2.6.29-1~experimental.2~snapshot.13314 Header files for Linux 2.6.29-trunk-amd64 ii linux-headers-2.6.29-trunk-common 2.6.29-1~experimental.2~snapshot.13314 Common header files for Linux 2.6.29-trunk Could anyone explain to me what the relation is between those 2 packages? I suspect that one needs both sets of include directories to buid properly, but m-a is only picking up the -amd64 stuff. I've googled and looked at the Debian Wiki, but haven't found anything. Also, if you have any tips on getting kvm running, I'd love that too--even if the tip is "known not to work with 2.6.29". I'd appreciate cc on replies. Thanks.
