Hi all, In order to get my Intel wireless card working on my laptop I am thinking of installing a 2.6.27 or newer kernel. I want to know how safe is it to install a new kernel? Do they have any potential of damaging the hardware? I will need to go through the steps listed in http://wiki.debian.org/iwlagnif I want to install the new kernel and configure the wireless card.
