tags 512617 + patch thanks I'm unfortunately able to reproduce this bug on an HP dc7900 with the latest available BIOS (V1.11).
The patch in 2.6.28 looks trivial to backport to 2.6.26: it consists simply of replacing WARN_ON with WARN_ON_ONCE.
