Hi everyone I appear to have a similar problem here, this evening when I was trying to install Debian 4.0.4 on an old ProLiant 330 Compaq Server.
The problem appears already at 1st boot, before starting Debian install the system hangs with the following error message: aic7xxx_abort returns 0x2002 As of now, a W2K Server Edition is running on the system, so I do not think it is a hardware problem. I read a lot of documentation about that, but as far as I could see the problem is still opened. Is there any workaround for that?
