i am using the latest testing packages and i also get the mentioned error message
"Error: Driver 'pcspkr' is already registered, aborting...". the sound works perfectly on my machine, though (a thinkpad r61). the error message came with debian's standard kernel 2.6.26-1. -- Psssst!
