It doesn't work on an Intel ClassicR+ either. This is a computer with a 486 processor, ISA bus, the BIOS doesn't support ACPI, APM or pnp. 2.6.24-1-486 does work on this computer.
The last few lines shown when attempting to boot 2.6.25-2-486 are (lilo is my boot loader) loading Linux ............................
