I'm not certain that it's the same bug, but it's similar, so I'm replying to the existing bug.
After upgrading to linux-image-2.6.25-2-686, I got a system hang shortly after boot. It might have taken longer the second time, the difference being that I spent a few minutes in console before logging in (so it could be triggered by gnome-power-manager or something else gnome-ish). The machine is a Dell Inspiron 1300, tracking testing. Booting the previous kernel (from linux-image-2.6.24-1-686) works just fine. After crash, there's no response from keyboard (not even the capslock or numlock lights can be turned on) and no apparent disk activity. Post-reboot there's nothing relevant in the logs, I don't know how to extract some debugging information.
