Package: linux-image-2.6.24-1-amd64
Version: 2.6.24-5
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

System fails to boot with a kernel panic about not being able to find the root
partition and some VHS error (can only tell you what I remember). Previous
kernel is linux-image-2.6.22-3-amd64 (2.6.22-6.lenny1) which works fine. Comp
has SATA HD & DVD, no IDE drives.

This could be related to #473398, but may not be.

If you want more info that's fine, but give me a hint please.
