Last night my always-on Debian box suffered from a kernel oops for the first
time since one and a half year. I recently dist-upgraded for security reasons.
When the kernel crashed, here was no load on the box and cpudynd was running as
it usually does:

you provided no further info that the oops is reproducible with 2.6.24
thus closing. also there is newer kernel available in unstable installs
just fine in testing 2.6.25
concerning your video trouble ask on debian user, bug reports are not
the primary support source.
