Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.24-4 Severity: normal
The pata_pcmcia driver is missing in latest kernel, but the ide-cs driver doesn't work properly on my hardware (IBM ThinkPad T23). I know that PATA drivers have been disabled due fixing bug #419458, but this "fix" don't give a freedom of choice to users. I want to use the ata_piix for my IDE controller, but I need to recompile this module by hands. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=be_BY.CP1251, LC_CTYPE=be_BY.CP1251 (charmap=CP1251) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
