I have 26 AsusTek A7V600-X with Athlon/Sempron/Duron CPU's from 1000 to 3000 MHz and these are all Singel-CPU-Machines but they refuse to boot an SMP-kernel like the 686. The droped k7 was without SMP and working fine. The Etch-Installer is WITHOUT SMP support and boot fine, I can install and configure but after the next reboot, I run into the 686/SMP problem, which mean, I have to switch to a console and install a 484 kernel before I reboot...
