If someone's able to help me do it, I wouldn't mind. If not, that'd be the next step for me to look into. When using a mainline kernel to boot the machine with the etch installer ramdisk, everything works fine with the exception of a warning about partition types to use. I'm guessing it's a simple addition to a platform detection table that's missing, it should do well with whatever Maple already uses.
