Hi folks, Installation of linux-kernel failed with
Setting up linux-image-2.6.23-1-686 (2.6.23-2) ... Running depmod. Finding valid ramdisk creators. Using mkinitramfs-kpkg to build the ramdisk. Failed to symbolic-link initrd.img-2.6.23-1-686 to initrd.img. dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.23-1-686 (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Of course it was my fault since I clicked on [yes] to create symbolic links, even though it was a vfat filesystem. Do you think it would be reasonable to add some if-statement to the kernel installer checking for a vfat filesystem before creating the symbolic link or (even better) before asking the user?
