I have tested on 2 machines now and both behave the same way.
Are you probably using a different arcboot or tftp or something?
This is the machine i tried on today:
System: IP22
Processor: 100 Mhz R4000, with FPU
Primary I-cache size: 8 Kbytes
Primary D-cache size: 8 Kbytes
Secondary cache size: 1024 Kbytes
Memory size: 128 Mbytes
Graphics: Indy 8-bit
SGI Indy IP22 - 128MB - Friday i tried on an SGI Indigo2 IP22 256MB.
Both with arcboot 0.3.8.8 ...
