severity 440720 grave thanks After more and more people ask about installing Debian on an Ultrasparc III machine I'm rising the severity of this bug to make sure this is fixed for Lenny. It would be good to have a feedback from teh kernel team if it is possible to boot a non-SMP kernel on UltraSparc III (and more recent) US cpus at all.
