Package: linux-image-2.6.22-2-686 Followup-For: Bug #442187 Thank you for the link. I couldn't get the rescue console, but I checked the initrd files. The one for 2.6.22-2-686 was... empty. I reinstalled the package with this kernel and the initrd image was regenerated. Now it works too.
