Package: linux-image-2.6.12-1-686
Version: 2.6.12-10
Severity: normal
When I mount an external USB disk drive, I get the following messages in
/var/log/syslog:
Oct 25 17:22:51 olgas kernel: kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
Oct 25 17:22:51 olgas kernel: EXT3 FS on sda1, internal journal
Oct 25 17:22:51 olgas kernel: EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered
data mode.
Oct 25 17:22:51 olgas udevd[1109]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in
payload found, skip event 'mount'
And when I unmount said drive:
Oct 25 17:27:44 olgas udevd[1109]: get_netlink_msg: no ACTION in
payload found, skip event 'umount'
The udevd maintainer thought this might be a kernel issue. Indeed, it
seems that I started getting this message with the last 2.6.12 update or
two.
At any rate, I can still mount and access the drive, but something seems
misconfigured somewhere...
I'm running etch with a handful of sid.
