Package: linux-image-2.6.18-4-686 Version: 2.6.18.dfsg.1-12 Followup-For: Bug #402426
I don't get any cpufreq-support either, on a brand new Core 2 Duo E6600, SL9ZL. That's a minor revision of the first version with supposedly lower C1E power consumption. Trying to insert acpi-cpufreq or even speedstep-centrino results in 'No such device' Frequncy scaling works out of the box under Microsoft Windows XP sp2 but not in Ubuntu 7.04, which has a heavily patched 2.6.20 kernel. Having this fixed would be great since the computer gets entirely to loud and hot for comfort as it is.
