Hi, some modules such as the spca5xx for some webcams have problems with the current generic kernel-image-2.6.8: I was able to compile from tarball 20060501 at http://mxhaard.free.fr/ but it doesn't work. There is a patch but if I'd like to install a recent version of spca, I need a kern higher than 2.6.11. On the other hand there is now gspcav1 but the minimal kernel requiremetns are higher than 2.6.8: it would be nice publishing asap a new kernel-image for the Sarge, since my wife and some friends prefer continuing using it for its stability.
