Package: linux-image-2.6.18-1-amd64 Version: 2.6.18-1 Severity: normal
When I use mplayer to try to watch digital TV here in Australia, it no longer is able to tune the channel, timing out after 30 seconds. I have a DViCo FusionHDTV DVB-T1 (cx88 driver). This previously worked on 2.6.16-18 but no longer works on 2.6.18-1. I've downgraded for now to the 2.6.17-9 kernel, which doesn't exhibit the problem. I've seen some reference to potential breakage in the -rc versions of the 2.6.18 kernel at http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2006-September/012639.html but I'm unsure of the current state. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages linux-image-2.6.18-1-amd64 depends on: ii e2fsprogs 1.39-1 ext2 file system utilities and lib ii initramfs-tools [linux-initra 0.81 tools for generating an initramfs ii module-init-tools 3.2.2-3 tools for managing Linux kernel mo linux-image-2.6.18-1-amd64 recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
