Package: kernel-image-2.6-amd64-k8 Version: 103sarge1 Severity: wishlist Hello,
yesterday I did a dist-upgrade from sarge (unofficial amd64 stable) to etch, with aptitude dist-upgrade. At the point, where udev should be upgraded, the upgrade stops, because udev 0.93 depends on kernel >= 2.6.15 After the stop, I had an half upgraded system. Where aptitude wanted to uninstall aptitude, due to unresolved dependencies :-( I found out, that kernel-image-* is renamed in testing to linux-image-*. So I manually installed linux-image-2.6-amd64-k8, which solved the problem. So I believe, that there should be a virtuell packet in testing, which resolves the naming conflict.
