/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/functions has a panic() function to spawn an
emergency or debug shell. It does so with this line
FS1='(initramfs) ' /bin/sh </dev/console >/dev/console 2>&1
FS1 should be PS1 if you want to set the prompt.
