And remember what you replied when i proposed that we go over the patch and
problem, and try to implement a fix, or convince ourselves that it was the
right thing to do ? 

I mean your only argument was that you where not sure it would not break, that
you would or could do nothing without feedback from your upstream, and refused
to even consider investigating the problem with me there or at some other
time.

Misrepresentation though, since you don't say what arguments you used.

And yes, we lost already 10 times more time than what it would have taken to
fix it, but you prefered to polemic in erkelenz, instead of fixing the bug.
