maybe we can then change the sematique of the flavour/subarch thingy, or add
another level. We really want the -vserver version to import the main flavour
configuration snipplets. We could imagine a system, in line with my own plans
to extract config snipplets from Makefiles and Kconfigs, where patches would
be scanned for Kconfig hunks, and if such are detected, applied to the working
tree, and the new options added to patch-specific snipplet ?

Do we know about the cave-ats of this ? What is the status of the merge of
this feature ? does it work on non-x86 ?
