Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
Kernel 7.2 contains the sources for the new Arctic Fan Controller, but it's not
enabled.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I installed the controller in my NAS, connected power and USB.
* What was the outcome of this action?
It's found on USB:
# lsusb | grep 3904
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 3904:f001 ARCTIC (HK) ARCTIC Fan Controller
But no hwinfo device is there:
# cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon*/name
acpitz
drivetemp
drivetemp
drivetemp
drivetemp
asus
coretemp
* What outcome did you expect instead?
A device with name 'arctic_fan' should be there.
