This just caused my root fs to go flaky on me, xfs_repair fixed the damage. I think there should be a symlink to the udev init script from /etc/rc0.d/K39udev. This effectively stops my problem, and shouldn't cause any others since it's umounted lazily. -- Package-specific info: -- /etc/udev/rules.d/: /etc/udev/rules.d/: total 4 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 May 12 08:13 020_permissions.rules -> ../permissions.rules lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 May 24 22:36 050_hal-plugdev.rules -> ../hal.rules lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 May 12 08:13 cd-aliases.rules -> ../cd-aliases.rules -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 764 Jun 12 19:16 custom.rules lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 May 12 08:13 udev.rules -> ../udev.rules -- /sys/: /sys/block/hda/dev /sys/block/hda/hda1/dev /sys/block/hda/hda2/dev /sys/block/hda/hda3/dev /sys/block/hda/hda4/dev /sys/block/hda/hda5/dev /sys/block/hda/hda6/dev /sys/block/hda/hda7/dev /sys/block/hda/hda8/dev /sys/block/hdc/dev /sys/class/cpuid/cpu0/dev /sys/class/drm/card0/dev /sys/class/input/event0/dev /sys/class/input/event1/dev /sys/class/input/event2/dev /sys/class/input/event3/dev /sys/class/input/mice/dev /sys/class/input/mouse0/dev /sys/class/input/mouse1/dev /sys/class/misc/agpgart/dev /sys/class/misc/microcode/dev /sys/class/misc/psaux/dev /sys/class/misc/rtc/dev /sys/class/msr/msr0/dev /sys/class/sound/adsp/dev /sys/class/sound/audio/dev /sys/class/sound/audio1/dev /sys/class/sound/controlC0/dev /sys/class/sound/controlC1/dev /sys/class/sound/dsp/dev /sys/class/sound/dsp1/dev /sys/class/sound/mixer/dev /sys/class/sound/mixer1/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D0c/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D0p/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D1c/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D2c/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D3c/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC0D4p/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC1D0c/dev /sys/class/sound/pcmC1D0p/dev /sys/class/sound/timer/dev -- Kernel configuration: isapnp_init not present. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages udev depends on: ii hotplug 0.0.20040329-22 Linux Hotplug Scripts ii initscripts 2.86.ds1-1 Standard scripts needed for bootin ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii makedev 2.3.1-78 creates device files in /dev ii sed 4.1.4-2 The GNU sed stream editor udev recommends no packages. -- no debconf information --------------------------------------- Received: (at 314973-done) by bugs.debian.org; 10 Jan 2006 09:50:55 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jan 10 01:50:55 2006 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from baikonur.stro.at ([213.239.196.228]) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 4.50) id 1EwG9X-0003RP-4K for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Tue, 10 Jan 2006 01:50:55 -0800 Received: by baikonur.stro.at (Postfix, from userid 1001) id 6D2F05C010; Tue, 10 Jan 2006 10:51:34 +0100 (CET) Date: Tue, 10 Jan 2006 10:51:34 +0100 From: Maximilian Attems <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#314973: Problem no longer present Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.9i X-Virus-Scanned: by Amavis (ClamAV) at stro.at X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 On Tue, Jan 10, 2006 at 10:38:45AM +0100, Jan De Luyck wrote: > This problem seems no longer present today. > As such, the bugreport can be closed. > > Jan thanks for your feedback, closing. -- maks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
