? my own kernel (no initrd) has dma enabled. the debian default one cannot let me enable dma. you mean that this version of yaird has error? to be safer, i compiled the relevant ide driver directly into the kernel. and i notice that the debian default kernel compiled the driver as module. but as viewed from lsmod, i think i've the relevant driver loaded.
