I can, would like to avoid it, though, because I cna only test this on production machines. Is there an indication that this bug has been fixed? I described the actual reason for the problem in a bug report against a newer kernel, and I know it happens on these (older) debian kernels (dpkg cuts version numbers in output and I was too lame to find a workaround quickly): 2.6.13-1-amd64-k8 2.6.14-1-686-smp (See also bug reports #323860 and 338973, which should be enough to fix the bug, and refer to the same problem). So unless something changes in later revisions of those packages, the bug is well there. I think the bug should be trivial to fix as its pretty clear now what causes it (referrnces from the arp cache). -- The choice of a -----==- _GNU_ ----==-- _ generation Marc Lehmann ---==---(_)__ __ ____ __ [EMAIL PROTECTED] --==---/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / http://schmorp.de/ -=====/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ XX11-RIPE -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
